Boat 5-13


2003 Achilles Inflatable

Boat 5-13 is powered by a 50 horsepower Evenrude outboard. This boat was purchased from the Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company of Frederick County, Maryland. Boat 5-13 is equipped with basic water rescue equipment. Many of our members are trained from at least Water Rescue Awareness up to Advanced Line Systems.

 
 
Engine 5-13-1


1991 Pierce Dash

Engine 5-13-1 is a 1991 Pierce Dash 6 man cab, and features a 1250 GPM pump and 750 gallon tank. This unit has 1200 ft of 4" supply line along with 2 200 ft 1 3/4" pre-connect handline, 100 ft 1 3/4" pre-connect "trash" handline, 200 ft of 2 1/2" pre- connected with a Blitz Fire master stream mounted on the rear step, and 400 ft of 2 1/2" Pre connect handline. Engine 1 also has a pre-piped 1000 GPM deck gun. This unit also carries a full assortment of engine company tools. Engine 1 is first due on all structure fires.

 
 
Engine 5-13-2


1969 Ford C950

Engine 5-13-2 is a 1969 Ford C950 Boyer 5 Speed with 3 man cab. Engine 2 features a 750 GPM pump and 1250 gallon tank. This unit has 1000 ft of 4" supply line, 400 ft of 2 1/2" supply line, along with 2 200 ft 1 3/4" pre-connect lines, 2 200 ft booster reels with 1" hose, and 600 ft of 1" Forestry hose. This unit also carries an assortment of engine company tools. Engine 5-13-2 is second due on all brush fires, and fourth due on all structure fires.

 
 
Engine 5-13-3


1995 International/Pierce

Engine 5-13-3 is a 1995 International/ Pierce 5 man cab. This 6X6 all wheel drive engine features a 1250 GPM pump and 500 gallon tank. This unit has 600 ft of 4" supply line, 300 ft of 3" supply line, 150 ft 1 3/4" pre-connect off the front bumper, and 2 200 ft 1 3/4" pre-connected off the rear. Engine 3 also has a Hurst portable hydraulic unit with a Hurst Maverick Combi tool. Engine 5-13-3 is second engine out on all structure fires and second piece out on all vehicle accidents.

 
 
Engine 5-13-5


1999 Ford F-550

Engine 5-13-5 is a 1999 Ford F-550 5 man cab. This unit features a 250 GPM pump and 400 gallon tank. Engine 5 is equipped with 300 ft of 2 1/2" supply line, 200 ft 1 3/4" pre-connect line, 200 ft of 1 " hard sleeve on a booster reel, and 1200 ft of 1" forestry hose. Engine 5 also carries an assortment of engine company tools, along with a multiple chainsaws and pumps. Engine 513-5 is first due on all brush fires, wires and public service calls and is used to carry manpower and equipment to large scale incidents.

 
 
Rescue 5-13


1989 Pierce Lance

Rescue 5-13 is a 1989 Pierce Lance 10 man cab. This unit carries a full assortment of Hurst hydraulic cutting and spreading rescue tools as well as three assorted length hydraulic rams and a Hurst pedal cutter. Rescue 5-13 also has a 7 bag Hurst air bag system, four Junkyard Dog struts, assorted cribbing, chains, come-alongs, jacks, and hazmat supplies. Other equipment consists of but not limited to water rescue equipment, low angle rope rescue gear, multi gas meter, cut and vent saws, air tools, wrenches and sockets. The rescue also has 2 42 foot high light towers with 5 1500W lights each, and an Eagle Air system with 8 6,000 PSI air cylinders. Rescue 5-13 is first due on all vehicle accidents and rescue calls and responds to all large scale incidents.

 
 
Squad 5-13


1975 Chevrolet/Grumman

Squad 5-13 is a 1975 Chevrolet Grumman, and can carry up to 12 personnel. This unit is mainly used to transport manpower and additional equipment. The squad carries extra hazmat supplies and absorbent for large scale fluid leaks. Squad 5-13 can also be utilized as an air conditioned rehab unit during the hot summer months.

 
 
Tanker 5-13


1984 Mack/Pierce

Tanker 5-13 is a 1984 Mack 3 man cab. "The Mack" features a 1000 GPM pump and 3000 gallon tank. Tanker 5-13 has 600 ft of 4" supply line, 600 ft of 2 1/2" supply line, 2 200 ft 1 3/4" pre-connected lines off the rear, and a 1000 GPM deck gun. This unit also carries a 3000 gallon porta-tank, an assortment of water supply equipment, and 2 SCBA's.
